Swanbury Penglase is pleased to announce that Matthew Raven has been appointed as a Director, joining Steve Penglase, Andrew Phillips, Elizabeth Swanbury, Wayne Grivell, Simon Best,  Andrew Klenke and Justin Carter in the leadership of the practice.

After graduating University in 1998 and working at a number of smaller practices, I came to Swanbury Penglase in July 2005 as a Graduate of Architecture.

My time at Swanbury Penglase has been an amazing journey and I have been very fortunate to have worked on a diverse array of challenging projects collaborating with clients, colleagues, consultants and others to deliver exceptional outcomes.

The opportunities provided to me, and faith shown in me by the Directors to bring my skills to these projects has been humbling. My decision to join Swanbury Penglase in 2005 has been life changing.

Amongst those many projects, three stand out in particular as being formative in achieving my professional goals both now and into the future:

– Tasman Medical Centre, Nexus

– M2 & The Plasso, Uni SA

– Health Innovation Building, Uni SA

Over a period of fifteen years, these projects have been fundamental in providing extensive experience and opportunities in Health & Laboratory design. These are sectors I am passionate about working in and enjoy the complex challenges of delivering these highly detailed projects that allow science to be the best it can be. Seeing what occurs in these spaces we create is truly inspirational.

As a Director, I look forward to leading our Health Team, working both locally and nationally, partnering with existing clients and expanding with new clients. The challenge to further build our Health Team, providing opportunities to expand skills and achieve professional goals will continue to motivate me to achieve success in this new role.
